In 1979, we opened our doors and like now, we installed and also catered to do-it-yourselfers.
Back then, we specialzed in "Van Conversions" and everything associated with that as well. We
were one of the largest retailers and converters in Metro Detroit for many years.
As times-changed, so did we. As van conversions changed to pickup trucks, we too changed what
we offered and installed for our customers as well. Then SUVs, cars, trailers, and the like
became more and more popular, so as our customers changed, we did our research and transitioned
our inventory, item availability, suppliers and expertise as well. We keep our eyes and ears open
and work hard to meet the wants and needs of our customers.
In the beginning we had a storefront/installation facility in Wayne Michigan which is just outside Metro
Detroit. Several years later we added a large production facility to meet the demands for van
conversions and the like. In the mid-1990s, we closed the production facility and moved to
a better location, still in Wayne Michigan... across from, then, the Wayne Ford Assembly plant
on Michigan Ave.
In 2013, we moved once again into a much larger facility with a larger showroom and a much larger
shop area... exactly 75 feet away!!! With our larger facility, we increased our staff once again
and keep growing our business catering to all the retail, commercial and fleet customer needs.
And YES, we are STILL family owned and operated... stop by and visit and even meet our shop dogs!!!
